2003-04:	Design and manufacture of micro-air vehicle (2 students); Design of composite roadside structures under low velocity collision (2 students); Computer aided design of quiet computer cooling fans (3 students); Modification of airfoil aerodynamics using smart materials technology (3 students); Dynamic response on shape memory alloy (SMA) composite structures (2 part-time students) – A research article was conducted (2).
2004-05:	Design of a child toy for educational purpose (3 students) - This project was short-listed in Fong's deisgn competition 2005; Design of a portable ionic hair iron (3 students); Design of a Micro-wheeled-robot using Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) Actuators (3 students) – A patent was granted; Portable Typewriter for Blind People (3 students); Airline Food Service Cart Design (3 students); Multi-functional Assist Tool or Device for Brain Attack people (3 students) – A patent was granted and a total of HK$ 450,000 has been awarded for further development of this project .
2005-06	Design of a safe window cleaner (3 students); Design of a transferring and lifting device for elderly patients (3 students) – Merit Award in PolyU-IDT Innovative Entrepreneur Contest 2005/06 – Healthcare and Personal Devices Category; Winner of the Fong’s Industrial Design Competition 2005/06; Design of a cuff holding device for the elderly (3 Students) - 1-Runner Up of the 2005-06 Hong Kong Creative Product Design for the Elderly; Design of an automatic toothpaste filler - 2-Runner Up of the 2005-06 Hong Kong Creative Product Design for the Elderly; Design of an assistive device for Parkinson patients (3 students) - Champion of the 2005-06 Hong Kong Creative Product Design for the Elderly (press-release) Design of a safe parapet for double-deck bus collision (3 students)
2006-07	Design of a paper Recycling machine (3 students); Design of a healthcare product for stroke patients (3 Students) – Diamond Award in PolyU-IDT Innovative Entrepreneur Contest 2006/07; Design of an assistive product for the elderly (3 Students); Design of a Smell-Free Auto-Wrapping Rubbish Bin (3 Students); Design of a transferring and lifting device for elderly patients (3 students) – Excellent Award in PolyU-IDT Innovative Entrepreneur Contest 2006/07– Healthcare and Personal Devices Category; Design of an education child toy (3 Students); Design of bio-mechanical and safe backpack (3 Students).
