Nature & Mission

CGiG stands for a group of CG animators and CG designers who would like to share and discuss freely about the creative and technical aspects, or the technology development about both the local and international CG industry. We bear a long-term objective to offer sharing and this would benefit the local CG society as a whole.

The CGiG does not have any kind of commercial relationship with any other organizations or entities from the creative industry or the local CG business. Thereby, we do not stand for any position or attitude about the industry policy or regulations. We are a non-profit-making entity and none of our members are allowed to make use of our organization’s name for any sort of commercial activity.

This special interest group aims to inspire creative thinking and offer an open and relax environment for CG professionals or CG fans to share ideas and inspiration; information and know-how to other members bearing the same interest. Our role is to gather the professional and creative people from the industry for experience and information exchange base on only the CG related subjects.

CGiG shall host regular informal meetings for members to get-together in a relax and open-mind environment, and we shall organize seminars, screenings, exhibition, … and other relevant events to promote the local innovative CG design and production.
